In Taiwan the eel pond at llan, Changhua, and Pingtung are mainly made of concrete. The cost for harvesting 1 kg eel is between 258.10 and 278.91 Nt dollars. At kaohsiung, all pond are earthen and the cost for harvesting 1 kg eel is 222.54 NT dollars.
